Who Am I ?
Paediatrician, Proud Mom of two and A wife to an Incredible OCD engineer
Hello,
Thanks for stopping by. I’m Dr Rebecca.
I can’t wait to meet you and your precious family. Until then, you’d probably like to know a little bit more about me. So, here we go.

Why I am a Paediatrician
You can probably tell that I love children. I’m in awe of their resilience, brutal honesty and the purity of their absolute joy for life. That’s what makes my job—and motherhood—richly rewarding.

Qualifications
I knew that I wanted to study medicine from my childhood, and before reaching high school, I’d committed to paediatrics. After graduating from Wits University with MBBCH (2012), I completed my internship and community service at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital. I then moved to Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital for my four-year specialisation until July 2020, when I graduated with a Masters in Medicine and my fellowship in paediatrics.

Motivation
When I’m not at work with your little ones, I am spending time with mine. Connor, two years old, is super busy and inquisitive. He’s a sponge for knowledge at this age. Hannah is three months old, adds extra centimetres to my smile and the rings under my eyes (but I wouldn’t have it any other way).

Benefits
I believe that being a mother gives me incredible insight into the various challenges (and, let’s face it, hardships) of motherhood. It enhances my ability to tailor treatment plans to suit each child and family.

Our relationship
It’s an honour for me to restore children’s giggles and parent’s peace of mind. My approach is gentle; it is essential for babies and tots through to tweens to feel secure before an examination. When it comes to moms and dads, I believe open communication is the fastest way to finding a practical solution.
Enough about me! I’d like to get to know you. Feel free to call to book an appointment right here
